To do tricep extensions with a barbell to the chin, begin by lying down on a workout bench. Hold a very light weight barbell a few inches over your chest. Make sure that you grip the bar so that your palms are turned away from you. Clench your abs and press the barbell up to the ceiling. Now bend at the elbows and lower the bar until it touches your chin. Lift the bar again until your arms are straight. Repeat the motion for 2 sets of 12 repetitions.

To do a plie squat with a barbell, start by lifting a barbell (without added weight) and placing it behind your head and across your shoulders. Step out to the side with your right foot. Your feet should be about 4 ft. apart and your toes should be turned out to the sides. Clench your abs as you bend at the knees to where your thighs are almost parallel to the floor. Now come to a standing position again and repeat for 2 sets of 10 to begin.
